DV-Alert Domestic Violence Response Training
Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney, on behalf of Lifeline Australia RTO 88036, is providing a Domestic Violence Response Training program called DV-alert, which provides skills to Recognise, Respond and Refer cases of domestic and family violence.
DV-alert is a free nationally recognised training program conducted in all Australian states and territories.
DV-alert is available at no cost to all health, allied health and frontline workers who are most likely to come in contact with people experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence.
DV-alert is available in the following formats.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Statement of Attainment CHCDFV001.
General Face-to-Face Workshops
These involve attending a 2-day workshop, interacting with participants in small work groups, completing a workbook, skills assessment, and receiving a final call from the trainer as part of the assessment. Face-to-face workshops are held across all states and territories to encourage more health, allied health and community support workers to enrol in the course. View training schedule.
Indigenous Face-to-Face Workshops
These are specifically designed for health, allied health and community support workers working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Both Indigenous and non-Indigenous workers are welcome to enrol. Click here for more information and here to view training schedule.
E-Learning
This is an 18-hour online course over a period of 6 to 8 weeks. It involves downloading and reading online materials, working through lessons, and completing assessment questions. A qualified trainer is available to support online participants throughout the course, assess answers to the workbook and provide feedback to participants. Upon completing the course, participants will receive a final call from the trainer as part of the assessment. Register now.
