Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney’s training team provides a range of courses to educate, develop awareness, skills and knowledge about mental health, suicide, domestic and family violence. For the community, schools and the workplace.
In particular our tailored and revised Accidental Counsellor course addresses the uncomfortable topics of crisis and suicide. Participants of this workshop will learn to RECOGNISE a person in crisis, RESPOND in a compassionate manner and REFER to ongoing support.

Telephone Crisis Supporter Training
The Telephone Crisis Support Training Course is based on adult learning principles and experiential learning.
DV-alert Training
Lifeline provides a Domestic Violence Response Training program called DV-alert, which imparts skills to recognise, respond and refer cases of domestic and family violence.
Community and Workplace Training Courses
Accidental Counsellor
This 4-hour workshop teaches the core skills necessary to engage with someone who is struggling to cope with their day-to-day life due to stress, mental health issues, DV, or other personal crises. We offer monthly community sessions of the workshop, which are open to the public and can be booked via the links on our website.
