Suicide Bereavement Support Program
An 8-week support group for those bereaved by suicide
While some suicides can be prevented, tragically, suicides do still occur despite our best efforts. It is important that people feel free to talk about their reactions to suicide openly and honestly and that those affected by suicide reach out to others for support and help.
Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney runs two different groups for those bereaved by suicide:
- An 8-week structured support program particularly suited to those (over 18) recently bereaved by suicide. For this group, pre-registration is essential.
- There is also a monthly ‘open’ group, which takes place on the first Thursday of each month in Gordon 7–9pm. Call us on 9498 8805 to book in.
Further details of these groups below. Both groups provide a safe and comfortable environment in which you can discuss feelings and experiences associated with your loss.
