Carer Support Group

Carer Support Group is an adult 6-week support group for relatives or friends who care for a person who may be feeling  suicidal or has made a suicide attempt. The group aims to provide a safe and confidential space to share and be supported with others who are also caring for a person that may be struggling with suicidality.

Participants can share together their experience whilst learning new skills and ways of coping to increase their own wellbeing.

Sessions are held on Tuesdays from 5:30pm–7:30pm for 6 weeks in Chatswood.

Our facilitators are accredited counsellors experienced in

  • Suicide Crisis Support
  • Suicide prevention
  • Suicide bereavement
  • Suicidality and working with those affected

Group Details

Venue: Chatswood

Date: Tuesday 10 October–Tuesday 14 November.

Duration: Weekly for 6 weeks, 2-hour sessions from 5.30pm–7.30pm

Cost: Free

How to Participate

  2. A phone conversation will be arranged with the Carer Support Group Facilitator prior to attending the group.
  3. After a discussion with the Carer Support Group Facilitator, you can both discuss together whether Carer Support Group will be a good fit for your needs.
